A Grand Night For Singing

17th to 19th November 2011

Director - Brian Seal
Musical Director - Graham Albone

On Thursday 17th November to Saturday 19th November 2011, Letchworth Arcadians will be performing 'A Grand Night For Singing' at Plinston Hall, Letchworth

A celebration of the songs of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II.

When the original first opened on Broadway in 1994, three decades after their last collaboration, "The Sound of Music", it earned wildly enthusiastic reviews and two Tony nominations, including Best Musical.

The show contains many favourite songs from their best loved shows and also lesser-known works such as "Pipe Dream", "Me and Juliet", and "Cinderella". Be prepared for some surprises; a swingin' "Honeybun" and a jazzy "Kansas City" are among the exciting arrangements of classic numbers which showcase the talents that abound within Letchworth Arcadians. This is an evening not to be missed.
