Thoroughly Modern Millie was a runaway success at St Christopher’s School Theatre this week. The audiences loved it and although it would have been nice to have seen more people there, those that came made their appreciation very clear!
Lucy Walker was a lovely flapper Millie and was complimented well by a great performance from Simon Latter as Jimmy. Sophie Walker was a beautiful Miss Dorothy, singing like an angel with Brett Sayer as Mr Graydon. The Chinese group brought humour to the show and Gina Abbat brought the house down with her numbers, what an amazing voice.
The chorus danced their way through the show with some wonderful choreography thanks to Cris Blackham, who, together with David Walker as director and Hannah Long as the MD were a strong and creative production team. St Christopher’s is a lovely little theatre and David certainly knows how to use the space and put on a great production.
Well done to all involved!
